Have you ever heard of 'paypa'; the world reknown online payment processor? If you answered yes, then there's good news for you. A team of very dedicated individuals are working on a project that will not only match up to paypal but also be better than paypal. Paybox is developing an online currency and payment processing service to make buying and selling online easier, more secure and available to everyone. We are designing our services with the help of a dedicated group of earlybird users who are contributing ideas and feedbacks.

What Has Been Developed?

Person-to-person transactions are working. Paybox users can transfer funds from their paybox accounts to other users' account. Currently, paybox is a closed system - all transactions are done within the paybox system (you cannot deposite or withdraw money at this time).

What's The Plan?

Eventually, the paybox team plans to open the box, inviting merchants to accept paybox. This will allow paybox users to pay any merchant who has signed on to accept paybox payments. Paybox also plans to issues out debit cards linked to the users' accounts.

What Needs To Happen?

In order to form the essential working relationship with large merchants and payment networks, paybox needs a bigger user base. what that means is that paybox needs more account holders or users. The paybox team is working to grow its user base to somewhere between two to five million users (2-5million) before work can begin on opening the box.

When Will it Happen?

Paybox currently has over two hundred and forty thousand acive users. At the current growth rate, we expect that work will begin on opening the box in April of 2011. That is just an estimate though; it could be sooner or later if the growth rate changes.
